DESCRIPTION:Bring the family to the museum to play games and other activities. Make Holiday Cards for Veterans and create a 1940s Ornament. 1940s refreshments will be provided by the American Legion Auxiliary.For one day only\, original letters written by the Barber Brothers while stationed on the USS Oklahoma at Pearl Harbor\, just months before they were killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor\, will be on display. They were written to a local boyhood friend of theirs and show a much different perspective of military life than what they may have been writing home to their family. Come see this amazing piece of history.If you believe in protecting our history and keeping access free for every family in our community\, we’d love to welcome you as a Friend of the New London Public Museum.
