By reading aloud to a dog\, children can eliminate the fear of judgment and feel more at ease. The presence of an attentive dog allows them to focus on their reading without distraction. As a result\, their reading improves through practice\, while also building self-esteem and creating positive associations with reading.Sage’s human\, Tory Suehs\, is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience working with children and families in both residential and outpatient mental health settings.No registration is required.
