DESCRIPTION:Snowshoe or ski the one mile loop from the nature center across the boardwalk and back by the light of the stars\, moon\, torch light\, and lights. (Weather dependent – Call in advance). Event cancellation would occur if extreme temperatures or unsafe travel conditions are forecasted.If trail conditions do not allow for skiing or snowshoeing\, then this event turns into a hike.We are also collecting for the Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry at this event so if you would like to make a non-perishable food donation\, we will be collecting as well.Donations & Payments will be collected inside.Some suggested donations that the food pantry is in need of: Peanut Butter\, Jelly\, Spaghetti Sauce\, Jell-O\, Pudding\, Ketchup\, Mustard\, and Ramen Noodles. \n\n\n\nRentals are extra and not included with admissionSnowshoes: $5 per Adult (16-UP)\, $3 per Kid (15 & under)\,Ski (Includes Boots\, Poles\, Skis): Per Adult (16 and Up): $10\, Per Kid (15 & Under): $5 \n\n\n\n\n\nAdvance tickets can be purchased here

DESCRIPTION:Waupaca High School presents: “The Miser” to be presented in February“The Miser\,” a classic comedy by the French writer Molière\, tells the story of an old man comically hoarding vast amounts of wealth while his children scrape by and plan out their secret love lives. When the Miser reveals that he has arranged marriages for both of his children\, they must find ways to get him to change his mind\, even if it means parting with some of his beloved wealth. Will the Miser find that there is more to life than money? Will his children find happiness in their love lives?Come find out at this hilarious farce\, presented at the Waupaca High School Performing Arts Center . DESCRIPTION:The Public School Open Enrollment period is open!Fill out the form for alternative in-person public school options and also virtual and virtual hybrid partnership school options. \n\n\n\nFind the form and FAQ here: https://dpi.wi.gov/open-enrollment \n\n\n\nWhat is Open Enrollment?\n\n\n\nThe inter-district public school open enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside. \n\n\n\nWho can apply?\n\n\n\nAny Wisconsin resident in 4K to grade 12 may apply to attend a nonresident school district under the open enrollment program. However\, a child may transfer to a nonresident school district for early childhood education or 4K only if the child’s resident school district offers the same type of program and only if the child is eligible for that program in the resident school district. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere was a question a while back regarding open-enrollment. \n\n\n\nAccording to the WI DPI\, these are the only acceptable reasons a resident district can deny an open-enrollment request. \n\n\n\nPlease note that it does not say “too many students have applied to out-of-district schools”. It also doesn’t allow attendance records at the resident school to determine open-enrollment status to an out-of-district school. \n\n\n\nThis is just for Open Enrollment\, this does not include the School Voucher Programs. \n\n\n\nDeadline for Open Enrollment (public school) is April 30th \n\n\n\nDeadline for School Choice (private school) is April 17th. \n\n\n\nI also found out that there is a non-profit organization advocating for Virtual and Open-enrollment students.
