DESCRIPTION:The Public School Open Enrollment period is open!Fill out the form for alternative in-person public school options and also virtual and virtual hybrid partnership school options. \n\n\n\nFind the form and FAQ here: https://dpi.wi.gov/open-enrollment \n\n\n\nWhat is Open Enrollment?\n\n\n\nThe inter-district public school open enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside. \n\n\n\nWho can apply?\n\n\n\nAny Wisconsin resident in 4K to grade 12 may apply to attend a nonresident school district under the open enrollment program. However\, a child may transfer to a nonresident school district for early childhood education or 4K only if the child’s resident school district offers the same type of program and only if the child is eligible for that program in the resident school district. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere was a question a while back regarding open-enrollment. \n\n\n\nAccording to the WI DPI\, these are the only acceptable reasons a resident district can deny an open-enrollment request. \n\n\n\nPlease note that it does not say “too many students have applied to out-of-district schools”. It also doesn’t allow attendance records at the resident school to determine open-enrollment status to an out-of-district school. \n\n\n\nThis is just for Open Enrollment\, this does not include the School Voucher Programs. \n\n\n\nDeadline for Open Enrollment (public school) is April 30th \n\n\n\nDeadline for School Choice (private school) is April 17th. \n\n\n\nI also found out that there is a non-profit organization advocating for Virtual and Open-enrollment students. SUMMARY:NEW Zoo Winter Hours and 1/2 Off Admission
DESCRIPTION:The NEW Zoo & Adventure Park  Winter Hours of Operation. The NEW Zoo will be open daily (including on all holidays!) from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the Neil Anderson Canopy Tour will also be open daily starting at 9:00 a.m. The Adventure Park’s Ropes Course\, Ziplines\, Climbing Wall\, and Kids Kourse will be closed for the season\, but groups can schedule private experiences through advanced reservations. Fat tire bikes are also available to rent through the Adventure Park’s Base Camp building\, with ski and snowshoe rentals coming as soon as conditions allow. \n\n\n\nAlthough Zoo hours are shortened\, there’s no shortage of fun things to do on your next visit! Many animals are more active in cooler weather compared to in the heat of summer\, so this is a great time of year to enjoy the Zoo.
