SUMMARY:🚜 Tractor Safety Class
DESCRIPTION:Prepares youth ages 12–16 to meet certification requirements under Wisconsin Act 455 to operate tractors and farm machinery for their own family on public roads. The course also fulfills U.S. Department of Labor provisions for youth ages 14–15 employed on farms other than their family’s. Instruction covers equipment safety\, hazard recognition\, basic maintenance\, and the legal responsibilities of machinery operation. Students gain experience through a combination of classroom instruction\, hands-on activities\, and practical driving exercises. \n\n\n\nThis course is designed for students ages 12 and up. Teaching youth a safe attitude when working with farm equipment\, agricultural hazards\, and animals. Federal law and the State of Wisconsin require youth that will be operating farm equipment and implements on the highway or working for someone other than a family farm to complete this course. To receive certification\, students must complete a 24-hour training course\, pass a written exam\, pre-trip inspection\, and a driving exam. Students who successfully complete this course will receive State of Wisconsin certification and if 14 years of age or older\, Federal Certification. \n\n\n\nSpace is limited to 12 Participants \n\n\n\nRegistration Deadline is March 6th \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAdditional Class information can be found here along with additional class offerings \n\n\n\n\nChilton\n\n\n\nWautoma\n\n\n\nWaupaca\n\n\n\nAppeton – Service Motor Company Agriculture Center\n\n\n\nClintonville (seen in the flyer above)\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n**Publisher’s Personal Note** – My Son took this class when we first moved to the Clintonville Area 10 years ago at the advice of my aunt. I cannot recommend this class enough. It helped him with trailer backing\, awareness of surroundings\, and many other “life skills.”

SUMMARY:Wisconsin Open Enrollment Application Deadline
DESCRIPTION:The Public School Open Enrollment period is open!Fill out the form for alternative in-person public school options and also virtual and virtual hybrid partnership school options. \n\n\n\nFind the form and FAQ here: https://dpi.wi.gov/open-enrollment \n\n\n\nWhat is Open Enrollment?\n\n\n\nThe inter-district public school open enrollment program allows parents to apply for their children to attend public school in a school district other than the one in which they reside. \n\n\n\nWho can apply?\n\n\n\nAny Wisconsin resident in 4K to grade 12 may apply to attend a nonresident school district under the open enrollment program. However\, a child may transfer to a nonresident school district for early childhood education or 4K only if the child’s resident school district offers the same type of program and only if the child is eligible for that program in the resident school district. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThere was a question a while back regarding open-enrollment. \n\n\n\nAccording to the WI DPI\, these are the only acceptable reasons a resident district can deny an open-enrollment request. \n\n\n\nPlease note that it does not say “too many students have applied to out-of-district schools”. It also doesn’t allow attendance records at the resident school to determine open-enrollment status to an out-of-district school. \n\n\n\nThis is just for Open Enrollment\, this does not include the School Voucher Programs. \n\n\n\nDeadline for Open Enrollment (public school) is April 30th \n\n\n\nDeadline for School Choice (private school) is April 17th. \n\n\n\nI also found out that there is a non-profit organization advocating for Virtual and Open-enrollment students. It’s called Parents for School Options. https://www.parentsforschooloptions.org/ \n\n\n\nOpen Enrollment: https://sms.dpi.wi.gov/OEParent/faqs.aspx \n\n\n\nInfo for the Wisconsin School Choice program can be found here: https://schoolchoicewi.org/school-choice-faqs/ \n\n\n\nVirtual School Options for Wisconsin Families

SUMMARY:🎳 Kids Bowl Free
DESCRIPTION:It’s that time when families start planning on what they’re going to do for the summer! \n\n\n\nLet Kids Bowl Free help! Each registered child (check each center for age requirements) gets to bowl 2 games free every single day! (Check individual bowling alleys for shoe rental details) all summer long at NO Cost to Parents! (But plan for the concessions…. my kids LOVE bowling alley food\, just sayin’) \n\n\n\nParents\, do you want to bowl with your kids? Then you’ll want to check out the Family Pass! This allows parents\, older siblings and babysitters to bowl alongside the registered kids. This is a one-time payment that allows up to 4 adults to bowl 2 games free all summer long\, with your Kids Bowl Free registered children. (You can add the family pass on at any time during the season.) \n\n\n\nHow it works: \n\n\n\n\nLocate a Kids Bowl Free participating location near you (this is the only one covered all summer)\n\n\n\nRegister – Create your Kids Bowl Free account and register your kids. Decide if the Family Pass is right for your family.\n\n\n\nHave Fun – Make Memories – Go Screen-Free — Make New Friends– Bowl 2 games free every day\, all summer long! \n\n\n\n\nThings to Note: \n\n\n\n\nEach bowling alley determines the times the program is active. Program begins April 30th! You can find the details here when you choose a location near you. Dates and Times will vary! (I’ve seen some start as early as April 30th and as late as June 1st and end between August 30-Sept 2) I’ve seen only 1 with hours available 7 days a week.\n\n\n\nCheck each location for age requirements. I’ve seen them range from 2-18 with some ending as early as 15.\n\n\n\nI found at least 8 participating centers within 60 minutes of Clintonville.\n\n\n\nThe Registration is not transferable between the different bowling centers.
