DESCRIPTION:It’s that time when families start planning on what they’re going to do for the summer! \n\n\n\nLet Kids Bowl Free help!  Each registered child (check each center for age requirements) gets to bowl 2 games free every single day!  (Check individual bowling alleys for shoe rental details) all summer long at NO Cost to Parents!  (But plan for the concessions…. my kids LOVE bowling alley food\, just sayin’) \n\n\n\nParents\, do you want to bowl with your kids? Then you’ll want to check out the Family Pass! This allows parents\, older siblings and babysitters to bowl alongside the registered kids. This is a one-time payment that allows up to 4 adults to bowl 2 games free all summer long\, with your Kids Bowl Free registered children. (You can add the family pass on at any time during the season.) \n\n\n\nHow it works: \n\n\n\n\nLocate a Kids Bowl Free participating location near you (this is the only one covered all summer)\n\n\n\nRegister – Create your Kids Bowl Free account and register your kids.  Decide if the Family Pass is right for your family.\n\n\n\nHave Fun – Make Memories – Go Screen-Free — Make New Friends–  Bowl 2 games free every day\, all summer long! \n\n\n\n\nThings to Note: \n\n\n\n\nEach bowling alley determines the times the program is active. Program begins April 30th! You can find the details here when you choose a location near you. Dates and Times will vary! (I’ve seen some start as early as April 30th and as late as June 1st and end between August 30-Sept 2) I’ve seen only 1 with hours available 7 days a week.\n\n\n\nCheck each location for age requirements. I’ve seen them range from 2-18 with some ending as early as 15.\n\n\n\nI found at least 8 participating centers within 60 minutes of Clintonville.\n\n\n\nThe Registration is not transferable between the different bowling centers.

DESCRIPTION:💪 EVERY DAY IS A HOLIDAY! 💪Monday\, September 7 is Superhuman Day! \n\n\n\nWhen you hear Superhuman Day\, you might picture capes\, flying and somebody lifting a car with one hand. 🦸 \n\n\n\nBut today’s meaning is much better than that. \n\n\n\n❤️ Superhuman Day celebrates people with disabilities and the incredible things they accomplish while challenging the assumptions and barriers placed in their way. \n\n\n\nThe observance began in 2016 with a campaign connected to the Rio Paralympic Games\, highlighting athletes and other people with disabilities for their talent\, determination and achievements. \n\n\n\nAnd there’s an important distinction: \n\n\n\nBeing “superhuman” isn’t about pretending disabilities or barriers don’t exist. \n\n\n\nIt’s about recognizing ability instead of automatically assuming inability. \n\n\n\n♿ An athlete competing at an elite level. \n\n\n\n🎨 An artist creating something incredible. \n\n\n\n🎓 A student finding a different way to learn. \n\n\n\n💼 A business owner building something from the ground up. \n\n\n\n🎵 A musician performing. \n\n\n\n🏡 A neighbor contributing to their community. \n\n\n\nSometimes the biggest obstacle isn’t what a person can or cannot do. \n\n\n\nIt’s someone else deciding what they’re capable of before giving them the opportunity to show us. \n\n\n\n💪 TODAY’S FAMILY CONVERSATION: \n\n\n\nAsk the kids: \n\n\n\nWhat does it mean to be capable? \n\n\n\nTalk about how people may accomplish the same task in completely different ways. \n\n\n\nDifferent doesn’t automatically mean less. \n\n\n\n❤️ And maybe today’s challenge isn’t to do anything at all. \n\n\n\nMaybe it’s simply to notice. \n\n\n\nNotice accessibility. \n\n\n\nNotice barriers. \n\n\n\nNotice when we’re making assumptions. \n\n\n\nAnd notice the amazing people around us who are doing things their own way every single day. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n💪 Happy Superhuman Day! \n\n\n\nNever underestimate someone simply because their way of doing something looks different from yours.

DESCRIPTION:🦎 EVERY DAY IS A HOLIDAY! 🦎September 8 is Iguana Awareness Day! \n\n\n\nWell\, we’ve celebrated food.We’ve celebrated cats.We’ve celebrated books. \n\n\n\nToday? \n\n\n\nGIANT LIZARDS. 😂 \n\n\n\nHappy Iguana Awareness Day! \n\n\n\nAnd whether you think they’re fascinating or fall firmly into the “that’s very cool…from over there” category\, iguanas are pretty incredible animals. \n\n\n\n🦎 DID YOU KNOW? \n\n\n\n🌿 Green iguanas are primarily herbivores.Despite their tiny dinosaur appearance\, their diet is largely leaves\, flowers and fruit. \n\n\n\n👀 They basically have a THIRD EYE.Iguanas have a light-sensitive organ on top of their heads called a parietal eye. It doesn’t see detailed pictures like their regular eyes\, but it can detect changes in light and shadows — which can help alert them to danger from above. \n\n\n\n🏊 They’re surprisingly good swimmers!An iguana can use its powerful tail to propel itself through the water. \n\n\n\n☀️ They’re solar-powered little dinosaurs.Okay\, not literally. 😂 Iguanas are ectothermic\, so they rely on outside heat sources to regulate their body temperature. That’s why you’ll often see them basking in the sun. \n\n\n\n🦎 AND THAT TAIL? \n\n\n\nIt’s not just for swimming and balance. \n\n\n\nAn iguana can use its tail like a whip to defend itself — and some iguanas can even drop part of their tail when threatened and later regrow some of it. \n\n\n\nSuddenly the little dinosaur comparison doesn’t seem so ridiculous. 😂 \n\n\n\n❤️ BUT THERE’S AN IMPORTANT REASON FOR TODAY\, TOO. \n\n\n\nIguana Awareness Day isn’t just about appreciating cool reptiles. \n\n\n\nIguanas can require specialized diets\, appropriate heat and UVB lighting\, LOTS of space and long-term care. \n\n\n\nAnd that adorable little iguana at the pet store? \n\n\n\nIt doesn’t stay little. \n\n\n\nGreen iguanas can grow to several feet long\, including that enormous tail\, and caring for one can be a commitment lasting many years. \n\n\n\nSo today’s reminder applies to ALL pets: \n\n\n\n🐾 Research first.🏠 Know what they’ll need as adults.💰 Understand the long-term cost.❤️ And make sure you’re prepared for the commitment BEFORE bringing one home. \n\n\n\n📸 NOW WE NEED TO SEE THE REPTILES! \n\n\n\nDo you have an iguana? \n\n\n\nWe absolutely need a picture. 👇 \n\n\n\nNo iguana?
