It’s a holiday! Go do 50 push-ups!” \n\n\n\nThat’s not quite where we’re going with this. 😂 \n\n\n\n❤️ MOVEMENT DOESN’T HAVE TO MEAN A “WORKOUT.” \n\n\n\nFor teens — and honestly\, for the rest of us — being active can look like a LOT of different things. \n\n\n\n🏀 Shoot some hoops.🚲 Go for a bike ride.🐕 Take the dog for a walk.🥾 Hit a trail.💃 Turn up the music and dance.🏐 Play volleyball.🛼 Roller skate.🏋️ Lift weights with proper instruction.🥏 Throw a Frisbee.🌳 Head to the park.🎮 Play a game that gets everybody moving. \n\n\n\nThe best kind of activity? \n\n\n\nThe one they’ll actually WANT to do again. \n\n\n\nAnd movement isn’t just about muscles or sports. \n\n\n\nIt can be a chance to get outside\, clear your head\, spend time with friends\, learn something new and take a break from everything competing for your attention. \n\n\n\n💪 TODAY’S FAMILY CHALLENGE: \n\n\n\nLet the TEENAGER choose. \n\n\n\nYep. \n\n\n\nWe’re handing over control. 😬😂 \n\n\n\nGive them 30 minutes and ask: \n\n\n\n“What should we do that gets everybody moving?” \n\n\n\nThere is ONE rule: \n\n\n\nThe grown-ups have to participate too. \n\n\n\nTeen wants to play basketball? \n\n\n\nYou’re playing. \n\n\n\nBike ride? \n\n\n\nFind your helmet. \n\n\n\nDance challenge? \n\n\n\nWe’re very sorry about what is about to happen\, teenagers. 😂 \n\n\n\nWalk around town? \n\n\n\nPerfect. \n\n\n\nAnd parents… \n\n\n\nTry REALLY hard not to turn it into a lecture\, competition or fitness lesson. \n\n\n\nJust hang out with your kid. ❤️ \n\n\n\n👇 TEENS — THIS QUESTION IS FOR YOU! \n\n\n\nIf somebody told you that you HAD to be active for an hour but YOU got to choose what you did\, what are you picking? \n\n\n\n🏀 Sports🚲 Biking🥾 Hiking🏋️ Gym💃 Dancing🐕 Walking the dog🏊 Swimming🎮 Active gaming😴 Attempting to argue that sleeping requires muscles \n\n\n\nNice try on that last one. 😂 \n\n\n\nAnd parents of teenagers: \n\n\n\nWhat activity can you STILL convince your teenager to do with you? \n\n\n\nWe might all need ideas. 😂👇 \n\n\n\n🏃 Happy Teenager Workout Day! \n\n\n\nMove a little. \n\n\n\nLaugh a lot. \n\n\n\nAnd if your teenager voluntarily agrees to a family activity… \n\n\n\nDO NOT MAKE A BIG DEAL ABOUT IT OR YOU’LL SCARE THEM AWAY. 😂❤️

DESCRIPTION:It’s that time when families start planning on what they’re going to do for the summer! \n\n\n\nLet Kids Bowl Free help!  Each registered child (check each center for age requirements) gets to bowl 2 games free every single day!  (Check individual bowling alleys for shoe rental details) all summer long at NO Cost to Parents!  (But plan for the concessions…. my kids LOVE bowling alley food\, just sayin’) \n\n\n\nParents\, do you want to bowl with your kids? Then you’ll want to check out the Family Pass! This allows parents\, older siblings and babysitters to bowl alongside the registered kids. This is a one-time payment that allows up to 4 adults to bowl 2 games free all summer long\, with your Kids Bowl Free registered children. (You can add the family pass on at any time during the season.) \n\n\n\nHow it works: \n\n\n\n\nLocate a Kids Bowl Free participating location near you (this is the only one covered all summer)\n\n\n\nRegister – Create your Kids Bowl Free account and register your kids.  Decide if the Family Pass is right for your family.\n\n\n\nHave Fun – Make Memories – Go Screen-Free — Make New Friends–  Bowl 2 games free every day\, all summer long! \n\n\n\n\nThings to Note: \n\n\n\n\nEach bowling alley determines the times the program is active. Program begins April 30th! You can find the details here when you choose a location near you. Dates and Times will vary! (I’ve seen some start as early as April 30th and as late as June 1st and end between August 30-Sept 2) I’ve seen only 1 with hours available 7 days a week.\n\n\n\nCheck each location for age requirements. I’ve seen them range from 2-18 with some ending as early as 15.\n\n\n\nI found at least 8 participating centers within 60 minutes of Clintonville.\n\n\n\nThe Registration is not transferable between the different bowling centers.

DESCRIPTION:Every Day is Holiday Facebook Post \n\n\n\n🦜 EVERY DAY IS A HOLIDAY! 🦜September 17 is Pet Bird Day! \n\n\n\nCats had their day. \n\n\n\nThe reptiles got theirs. \n\n\n\nToday we’re celebrating the family members who are colorful\, clever\, occasionally cuddly… \n\n\n\nand perfectly capable of OUT-YELLING THE ENTIRE HOUSE. 😂 \n\n\n\nIt’s Pet Bird Day! 🐦❤️ \n\n\n\n🦜 BIRDS ARE PRETTY INCREDIBLE PETS. \n\n\n\nDepending on the species\, pet birds can learn sounds\, solve puzzles\, recognize routines and form incredibly strong bonds with their humans. \n\n\n\nAnd some parrots can even learn to imitate human speech. \n\n\n\nWhich sounds adorable… \n\n\n\nuntil your bird learns something you REALLY wish it hadn’t. 😳😂 \n\n\n\n🐦 DID YOU KNOW? \n\n\n\n🦜 Parrots use their feet almost like hands to grab and manipulate things — including their food. \n\n\n\n💤 Many birds need a consistent routine and plenty of uninterrupted sleep. \n\n\n\n🧩 Intelligent bird species need enrichment and things to DO.
