SUMMARY:Every Day is a Holiday - Butterscotch Pudding Day
DESCRIPTION:Every Day is a Holiday Facebook post \n\n\n\n🍮 EVERY DAY IS A HOLIDAY! 🍮September 19 is Butterscotch Pudding Day! \n\n\n\nToday’s holiday tastes a little like something Grandma would’ve made. ❤️ \n\n\n\nIt’s Butterscotch Pudding Day! \n\n\n\nBut first… \n\n\n\n🤔 WHAT EXACTLY IS BUTTERSCOTCH? \n\n\n\nDespite the name\, we’re not pouring Scotch whisky into the kids’ pudding. 😂 \n\n\n\nTraditional butterscotch is made primarily with brown sugar and butter\, giving it that rich\, caramel-like flavor. \n\n\n\n🍬 BUTTERSCOTCH VS. CARAMEL \n\n\n\nThey’re cousins — but they’re not exactly the same! \n\n\n\nCaramel is traditionally made by heating white granulated sugar\, while butterscotch gets its distinctive flavor from brown sugar and butter. \n\n\n\nAnd today we’re turning that goodness into pudding. \n\n\n\n👩‍🍳 EASY HOMEMADE BUTTERSCOTCH PUDDING \n\n\n\nYou probably already have most of this in the kitchen! \n\n\n\n🥛 2 cups milk🤎 ½ cup packed brown sugar🌽 3 tablespoons cornstarch🧂 Pinch of salt🥚 2 egg yolks🧈 2 tablespoons butter🥄 1 teaspoon vanilla \n\n\n\nHERE WE GO! \n\n\n\nIn a saucepan\, whisk together the brown sugar\, cornstarch and salt. \n\n\n\nSlowly whisk in the milk and egg yolks. \n\n\n\nCook over medium heat\, stirring frequently\, until the mixture thickens and begins to gently bubble. \n\n\n\nRemove from the heat and stir in the butter and vanilla. \n\n\n\nPour into little bowls and serve warm — OR refrigerate until cold. \n\n\n\nAdd whipped cream if you’re feeling fancy. \n\n\n\nCongratulations. You made pudding from SCRATCH. 🎉 \n\n\n\nPlease casually mention this to everyone for the remainder of the day. 😂 \n\n\n\n🥄 OR… \n\n\n\nBuy a box of instant butterscotch pudding. \n\n\n\nAdd milk. \n\n\n\nWhisk. \n\n\n\nWe celebrate holidays around here. We don’t issue cooking grades. 😂 \n\n\n\n👧 LET THE KIDS MAKE DESSERT! \n\n\n\nPudding is also perfect for a little family creativity. \n\n\n\nSet out: \n\n\n\n🍌 Sliced bananas🍎 Chopped apples🥨 Crushed pretzels🍪 Crumbled cookies or graham crackers🍫 Chocolate chips🥜 Chopped nuts☁️ Whipped cream \n\n\n\nThen everybody builds their own Butterscotch Pudding Creation. \n\n\n\nBonus points for giving it a ridiculous restaurant-menu name. \n\n\n\n👇 AND NOW FOR THE GREAT PUDDING DEBATE! \n\n\n\nYou get ONE pudding cup. \n\n\n\nWhat flavor are you choosing? \n\n\n\n🍫 Chocolate🤍 Vanilla🤎 Butterscotch🍌 Banana🥥 Tapioca \n\n\n\nWait… \n\n\n\nIs tapioca pudding still loved\, or did we just summon everyone’s grandma? 😂 \n\n\n\nAnd here’s our nostalgia question: \n\n\n\n👇 What dessert instantly takes you back to childhood? \n\n\n\nWas it pudding? \n\n\n\nJell-O? \n\n\n\nRice pudding? \n\n\n\nDump cake? \n\n\n\nSomething Grandma made that you’ve never been able to recreate quite the same way? \n\n\n\nTell us! ❤️ \n\n\n\n🍮 Happy Butterscotch Pudding Day! \n\n\n\nSome holidays require planning. \n\n\n\nSome require decorations. \n\n\n\nThis one requires a spoon. 🥄😂
