DESCRIPTION:🍕 EVERY DAY IS A HOLIDAY! 🍕September 20 is National Pepperoni Pizza Day! \n\n\n\nGood news\, families. \n\n\n\nWe figured out what’s for dinner again. 😂 \n\n\n\nToday is National Pepperoni Pizza Day! 🍕❤️ \n\n\n\nAnd since it’s Sunday\, we’re going to consider ordering pizza an officially recognized holiday activity. \n\n\n\n🍕 BUT WAIT…IS PEPPERONI ACTUALLY ITALIAN? \n\n\n\nHere’s a fun one: \n\n\n\nThe pepperoni we pile onto American pizzas is largely an Italian-American creation\, rather than a traditional Italian pizza topping brought straight from Italy. \n\n\n\nEven the word can cause a little confusion. \n\n\n\nIn Italian\, “peperoni” refers to peppers — while the spicy cured meat Americans call pepperoni developed here in the United States. \n\n\n\nSo if you travel to Italy and ask for peperoni on your pizza… \n\n\n\nYou might not get what you were expecting. 😂🌶️ \n\n\n\n🍕 WHY DOES PEPPERONI CURL UP? \n\n\n\nEver notice how some pepperoni turns into those crispy little cups when it cooks? \n\n\n\nAs the pepperoni heats\, the casing and meat can shrink differently\, causing the edges to curl upward. \n\n\n\nWhich creates a tiny little cup… \n\n\n\nFOR GREASE. \n\n\n\nNature is beautiful. 😂 \n\n\n\n👩‍🍳 TODAY’S FAMILY CHALLENGE: MAKE YOUR OWN PIZZA! \n\n\n\nYou don’t even need pizza dough. \n\n\n\nTry: \n\n\n\n🫓 Naan or flatbread🥯 Bagels🥖 French bread🌮 Tortillas🍞 English muffins \n\n\n\nAdd sauce\, cheese and pepperoni\, then let everybody customize their own. \n\n\n\nAnd if the kids create a combination that sounds absolutely horrifying? \n\n\n\nToday we’re encouraging creativity. \n\n\n\nYou don’t have to eat theirs. 😂 \n\n\n\n🍕 OR SUPPORT LOCAL & LET SOMEBODY ELSE COOK! \n\n\n\nThis might be an even better plan. \n\n\n\n👇 LOCAL PIZZA PLACES — CHECK IN! \n\n\n\nIf you’re serving up pizza today\, tell families where you’re located and what they should order! \n\n\n\nAnd everyone else: \n\n\n\nWhere’s your FAVORITE local pizza? \n\n\n\nTag the restaurant and tell us your order. \n\n\n\nLet’s give families a whole list of local places to try! ❤️ \n\n\n\n🚨 NOW WE HAVE SOME IMPORTANT BUSINESS TO SETTLE. \n\n\n\nFirst: \n\n\n\n🍍 PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA? \n\n\n\n👍 YES. Each registered child (check each center for age requirements) gets to bowl 2 games free every single day!  (Check individual bowling alleys for shoe rental details) all summer long at NO Cost to Parents!  (But plan for the concessions…. my kids LOVE bowling alley food\, just sayin’) \n\n\n\nParents\, do you want to bowl with your kids? Then you’ll want to check out the Family Pass! This allows parents\, older siblings and babysitters to bowl alongside the registered kids. This is a one-time payment that allows up to 4 adults to bowl 2 games free all summer long\, with your Kids Bowl Free registered children. (You can add the family pass on at any time during the season.) \n\n\n\nHow it works: \n\n\n\n\nLocate a Kids Bowl Free participating location near you (this is the only one covered all summer)\n\n\n\nRegister – Create your Kids Bowl Free account and register your kids.  Decide if the Family Pass is right for your family.\n\n\n\nHave Fun – Make Memories – Go Screen-Free — Make New Friends–  Bowl 2 games free every day\, all summer long! \n\n\n\n\nThings to Note: \n\n\n\n\nEach bowling alley determines the times the program is active. Program begins April 30th! You can find the details here when you choose a location near you. Dates and Times will vary! (I’ve seen some start as early as April 30th and as late as June 1st and end between August 30-Sept 2) I’ve seen only 1 with hours available 7 days a week.\n\n\n\nCheck each location for age requirements. I’ve seen them range from 2-18 with some ending as early as 15.\n\n\n\nI found at least 8 participating centers within 60 minutes of Clintonville.\n\n\n\nThe Registration is not transferable between the different bowling centers.

DESCRIPTION:⛳ EVERY DAY IS A HOLIDAY! ⛳September 21 is Miniature Golf Day! \n\n\n\nGrab a putter. \n\n\n\nChoose your brightly colored golf ball. \n\n\n\nAnd prepare to spend the next 20 minutes trying to get past a tiny windmill. 😂 \n\n\n\nToday is Miniature Golf Day! \n\n\n\n⛳ A LITTLE MINI-GOLF HISTORY \n\n\n\nPutting courses have been around for well over a century\, but miniature golf REALLY took off in the United States during the early 1900s. \n\n\n\nBy the 1920s and ’30s\, mini-golf courses were popping up all over — eventually evolving into the wonderfully ridiculous courses we know today. \n\n\n\n🐊 Fake alligators. \n\n\n\n🌋 Volcanoes. \n\n\n\n🏰 Castles. \n\n\n\n🌉 Tiny bridges. \n\n\n\n💦 Waterfalls. \n\n\n\nAnd\, of course… \n\n\n\nTHE WINDMILL. \n\n\n\nBecause apparently regular golf wasn’t frustrating enough. 😂 \n\n\n\n⛳ WHY WE LOVE MINI GOLF FOR FAMILY FUN \n\n\n\nYou don’t have to know how to golf. \n\n\n\nYou don’t need expensive equipment. \n\n\n\nLittle kids can play. \n\n\n\nGrandparents can play. \n\n\n\nTeenagers can play. \n\n\n\nAnd there’s usually at least ONE family member who suddenly becomes extremely concerned about enforcing the official rules. \n\n\n\nYou know who you are. 😂 \n\n\n\n🏆 TODAY’S FAMILY CHALLENGE: \n\n\n\nFind a miniature golf course and play a round! \n\n\n\nBut we’re adding some RuralNEWfamilies rules: \n\n\n\n⛳ Hole-in-one = everybody celebrates obnoxiously. \n\n\n\n😂 Ball leaves the course = automatic bonus point for creativity. \n\n\n\n🌳 Ball ends up somewhere nobody can retrieve it = we don’t talk about that hole anymore. \n\n\n\n🏆 Winner gets bragging rights. \n\n\n\n🍦 Loser suggests stopping for ice cream afterward. \n\n\n\nActually… \n\n\n\nEverybody should probably get ice cream. \n\n\n\nWe’re still working out the official rules. 😂 \n\n\n\n📍 NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP! \n\n\n\n👇 WHERE ARE THE GREAT MINI-GOLF COURSES AROUND NORTHEAST WISCONSIN? \n\n\n\nTag your favorite! \n\n\n\nAnd local miniature golf courses — feel free to check in\, tell families where you’re located and let us know if you’re still open for the season. \n\n\n\nLet’s turn the comments into a little mini-golf family adventure list! ❤️ \n\n\n\n📸 BONUS CHALLENGE: \n\n\n\nIf your family plays today\, we want pictures! \n\n\n\nEspecially if somebody gets a hole-in-one. \n\n\n\nOr ends up in the landscaping. \n\n\n\nHonestly… \n\n\n\nESPECIALLY if somebody ends up in the landscaping. 😂 \n\n\n\n👇 And tell us: \n\n\n\nAre YOU actually trying to win at miniature golf… \n\n\n\nor are you just there for the family fun and the snack afterward? \n\n\n\n⛳ Happy Miniature Golf Day! \n\n\n\nRemember: \n\n\n\nIt’s not whether you win or lose. \n\n\n\nIt’s whether you can get the ball past that stupid windmill. 😂❤️
