Jung Carriage Museum.   𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Wade House Stagecoach Inn was constructed conveniently between the cities of Fond du Lac and Sheboygan\, along a well-used stagecoach trail. This made the 27-room Greek Revival hotel a popular resting point for weary travelers. Three generations of the Wade family resided on the Wade House property\, with the stagecoach inn operating until around 1872. The Kohler family and the Kohler Foundation purchased Wade House in 1950 and began a top-to-bottom restoration. The site became property of the Wisconsin Historical Society and opened to the public in 1953. Here\, visitors can journey back to the horse-powered world that existed before planes\, cars\, and trains. The site features the stagecoach hotel built and owned by Sylvanus and Betsey Wade\, early settlers of Greenbush\, as well as a blacksmith shop\, sawmill\, and the Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum\, which houses Wisconsin’s largest collection of carriages and wagons. Visitors can enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides from the visitor center to the historic core and back again. 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗚𝗼 \n\n\n\n\n Pre-registration is recommended\, though rides will be offered on the day of the event as space allows.\n\nCheck-in location is the Wade House Visitor Center and Wesley W. DESCRIPTION:Getting excited for the barn dance this weekend! It’s completely free\, bring your family and friends (or just yourself) out for a good time All ages\, all skill levels welcome. \n\n\n\nA few things to note: \n\n\n\n-It is up in our hay mow. We are still actively using it to store corn stover. It’s corded off\, cleaned\, and decorated but there will be some dust. Absolutely no smoking of any kind inside or out of the barn. \n\n\n\n-The floor is old hardwood (the best kind of dance floor!) so sneakers/cowboy boots work best\, but we won’t stop you from wearing whatever is most comfortable \n\n\n\n-On the same note\, dressing up is encouraged but not required! Come as you are\, or take the excuse to get fancy\, we don’t care! \n\n\n\n-We will have plenty of food and (non-alcoholic) beverages. Please don’t bring your own except water. \n\n\n\n-Finally\, please be respectful of my farm\, house\, and animals! DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to the Pumpkin Hike at Hartman Creek State Park for a family-friendly evening of hiking on park trails lit by candlelight. Local schools will decorate over 500 luminaries to light up the 1.2 mile hike around Hartman Lake. Family-fun photos against a backdrop of fall decorations at the Amphitheater where Smokey Bear will greet you. Hot apple cider and donut holes will be served at the Beach Shelter (while supplies last). The event is free and open to the public\, but you will need to purchase a daily pass or have an annual State Park sticker which you can purchase at the park office (cash preferred to speed up the line) or online prior to the event. Print out your online receipt to bring with you. Suggested donation: $2.00/person; $5.00/family. All money raised goes to the Friends of Hartman Creek State Park who uses the money to directly support Hartman Creek State Park. Volunteers are needed for a variety of positions.
