DESCRIPTION:Come to a fun and engaging Candidate Debate where the audience is in charge of the questions! \n\n\n\nCandidates are NOT given any questions prior to the debate.   \n\n\n\nTentative Schedule of Events: \n\n\n\n\n6pm – Arrive and fill out question cards for the candidates\n\n\n\n6:30pm – Special Guest Speaker (TBD)\n\n\n\n7pm – Candidate Debate\n\n\n\n8pm – Informal Meet and Greet with the candidates\n\n\n\n\nWhat to expect: \n\n\n\n\nThere will be index cards and pencils available for you to write your questions when you arrive.\n\n\n\nModerator Kathy will read the questions to the candidates.  \n\n\n\nFamily-friendly event.  The candidates want to hear from taxpayers AND students.  (This isn’t a case of  🎶”I’d like to help you\, but you’re too young to vote” 🎶 (Summertime Blues)\n\n\n\nCandidates will be given a set amount of time for questions.  \n\n\n\nThere is plenty of time to laugh and have fun.  This event is completely audience-driven.  It’s a great introduction for kids to see our voting process in action.  \n\n\n\nThere will be time after the debate for an informal meet and greet with the candidates. \n\n\n\nBring cash for snacks and beverages at the venue. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event will be recorded.  The recording will be available on YouTube following the event.
