DESCRIPTION:It’s that time when families start planning on what they’re going to do for the summer! \n\n\n\nLet Kids Bowl Free help!  Each registered child (check each center for age requirements) gets to bowl 2 games free every single day!  (Check individual bowling alleys for shoe rental details) all summer long at NO Cost to Parents!  (But plan for the concessions…. my kids LOVE bowling alley food\, just sayin’) \n\n\n\nParents\, do you want to bowl with your kids? Then you’ll want to check out the Family Pass! This allows parents\, older siblings and babysitters to bowl alongside the registered kids. This is a one-time payment that allows up to 4 adults to bowl 2 games free all summer long\, with your Kids Bowl Free registered children. (You can add the family pass on at any time during the season.) \n\n\n\nHow it works: \n\n\n\n\nLocate a Kids Bowl Free participating location near you (this is the only one covered all summer)\n\n\n\nRegister – Create your Kids Bowl Free account and register your kids.  Decide if the Family Pass is right for your family.\n\n\n\nHave Fun – Make Memories – Go Screen-Free — Make New Friends–  Bowl 2 games free every day\, all summer long! \n\n\n\n\nThings to Note: \n\n\n\n\nEach bowling alley determines the times the program is active. Program begins April 30th! You can find the details here when you choose a location near you. Dates and Times will vary! (I’ve seen some start as early as April 30th and as late as June 1st and end between August 30-Sept 2) I’ve seen only 1 with hours available 7 days a week.\n\n\n\nCheck each location for age requirements. I’ve seen them range from 2-18 with some ending as early as 15.\n\n\n\nI found at least 8 participating centers within 60 minutes of Clintonville.\n\n\n\nThe Registration is not transferable between the different bowling centers.

DESCRIPTION:Every Day is a Holiday Facebook Post \n\n\n\n👩‍🍳 EVERY DAY IS A HOLIDAY! 👨‍🍳September 13 is Kids Take Over the Kitchen Day! \n\n\n\nParents… \n\n\n\nWe have good news and bad news. \n\n\n\nThe good news? \n\n\n\nYou don’t have to make dinner. 🎉 \n\n\n\nThe bad news? \n\n\n\nHave you SEEN the kitchen after kids cook?! 😂 \n\n\n\nToday is Kids Take Over the Kitchen Day\, and we’re handing over the aprons\, mixing bowls and spatulas to the next generation. \n\n\n\n(Adult supervision strongly recommended. DESCRIPTION:Every Day is a Holiday Facebook Page \n\n\n\n🍬 EVERY DAY IS A HOLIDAY! 🍬September 14 is Gobstopper Day! \n\n\n\nToday’s holiday is going to take a while to celebrate… \n\n\n\nIt’s Gobstopper Day! 😂 \n\n\n\nFirst things first: \n\n\n\n🍬 WHAT EXACTLY IS A GOBSTOPPER? \n\n\n\nHere in the U.S.\, we’re more likely to call them jawbreakers — those super-hard\, round candies that seem to last FOREVER. \n\n\n\nThe name “gobstopper” comes from British slang: \n\n\n\n“Gob” = mouth. \n\n\n\nSo basically… \n\n\n\nIt’s a mouth-stopper. \n\n\n\nSuddenly “Gobstopper” sounds a little less magical. 😂 \n\n\n\n🍭 HOW DO THEY GET ALL THOSE LAYERS? \n\n\n\nJawbreakers aren’t usually made in one solid piece. \n\n\n\nCandy makers build them up layer after layer\, repeatedly coating a center with sugar until the candy gets bigger and bigger. \n\n\n\nThat’s why\, if you’ve ever patiently worked your way through one\, you’ll often discover different colors — and sometimes different flavors — as you go. \n\n\n\nAnd YES… \n\n\n\nPatience is important. \n\n\n\nThey’re called jawbreakers. \n\n\n\nNot “Let’s See If My Dentist Has an Opening Tomorrow” candies. 😬😂 \n\n\n\n📚 AND THEN CAME WILLY WONKA… \n\n\n\nAuthor Roald Dahl took the idea to another level in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with the fictional Everlasting Gobstopper — a candy designed to never get smaller no matter how long you sucked on it. \n\n\n\nWhich raises an important question: \n\n\n\nIf an ACTUAL Everlasting Gobstopper existed… \n\n\n\nWould you want one?! 🤔 \n\n\n\nBecause that sounds amazing for approximately the first three hours. \n\n\n\nAfter Day 6\, I’m going to have questions. 😂 \n\n\n\n🍬 TODAY’S FAMILY FUN: THE CANDY LAYER EXPERIMENT! \n\n\n\nIf you’ve got a jawbreaker or other colorful hard candy\, try a little experiment. \n\n\n\nPut it in a shallow dish of warm water and WATCH. \n\n\n\nAs the outer candy coating dissolves\, you may be able to see the different colors and layers appear. \n\n\n\n🔬 Candy + science = we’re calling it educational. \n\n\n\nYou’re welcome\, parents. 😂 \n\n\n\n👇 NOW LET’S TALK CANDY! \n\n\n\nIf you walked into Willy Wonka’s factory and could choose ONE… \n\n\n\n🍫 Chocolate River🍬 Everlasting Gobstopper🫐 Three-Course-Dinner Gum🍭 An entire room made of candy🏆 The Golden Ticket itself \n\n\n\nWhat are you picking? \n\n\n\nAnd for the grown-ups: \n\n\n\n👇 What candy instantly takes you back to being a kid? \n\n\n\nBottle Caps?Fun Dip?Pop Rocks?Candy cigarettes?Wax bottles?Those strawberry candies that somehow lived in every grandma’s candy dish? 😂 \n\n\n\n🍬 Happy Gobstopper Day! \n\n\n\nMay your candy last all day… \n\n\n\nand may you have enough sense NOT to try biting it. 😂

This allows parents\, older siblings and babysitters to bowl alongside the registered kids. This is a one-time payment that allows up to 4 adults to bowl 2 games free all summer long\, with your Kids Bowl Free registered children. (You can add the family pass on at any time during the season.) \n\n\n\nHow it works: \n\n\n\n\nLocate a Kids Bowl Free participating location near you (this is the only one covered all summer)\n\n\n\nRegister – Create your Kids Bowl Free account and register your kids.  Decide if the Family Pass is right for your family.\n\n\n\nHave Fun – Make Memories – Go Screen-Free — Make New Friends–  Bowl 2 games free every day\, all summer long! \n\n\n\n\nThings to Note: \n\n\n\n\nEach bowling alley determines the times the program is active. Program begins April 30th! You can find the details here when you choose a location near you. Dates and Times will vary! (I’ve seen some start as early as April 30th and as late as June 1st and end between August 30-Sept 2) I’ve seen only 1 with hours available 7 days a week.\n\n\n\nCheck each location for age requirements. Come eat your little tongues!” \n\n\n\nPlease report back with their reactions. 😂 \n\n\n\n🇮🇹 Linguine is traditionally associated with the Liguria region of Italy\, where it’s commonly paired with seafood or pesto. \n\n\n\nBut we’re in Rural Northeast Wisconsin on a Tuesday. \n\n\n\nWe’re keeping dinner EASY. 😂 \n\n\n\n🍋🧄 EASY GARLIC BUTTER LINGUINE \n\n\n\nYou’ll need: \n\n\n\n🍝 1 package linguine🧈 4 tablespoons butter🧄 3–4 cloves garlic\, minced🧀 About ½ cup grated Parmesan🍋 A squeeze of lemon juice🧂 Salt & pepper🌿 Parsley or Italian seasoning if you’ve got it \n\n\n\nMake it: \n\n\n\nCook the linguine according to the package directions — but save about ½ cup of that pasta water before draining. \n\n\n\nMelt the butter in a large pan\, add the garlic and cook briefly until fragrant. \n\n\n\nAdd your cooked linguine\, Parmesan and a splash of pasta water. DESCRIPTION:It’s that time when families start planning on what they’re going to do for the summer! \n\n\n\nLet Kids Bowl Free help!  Each registered child (check each center for age requirements) gets to bowl 2 games free every single day!  (Check individual bowling alleys for shoe rental details) all summer long at NO Cost to Parents!  (But plan for the concessions…. my kids LOVE bowling alley food\, just sayin’) \n\n\n\nParents\, do you want to bowl with your kids? Then you’ll want to check out the Family Pass! This allows parents\, older siblings and babysitters to bowl alongside the registered kids. This is a one-time payment that allows up to 4 adults to bowl 2 games free all summer long\, with your Kids Bowl Free registered children. (You can add the family pass on at any time during the season.) \n\n\n\nHow it works: \n\n\n\n\nLocate a Kids Bowl Free participating location near you (this is the only one covered all summer)\n\n\n\nRegister – Create your Kids Bowl Free account and register your kids.  Decide if the Family Pass is right for your family.\n\n\n\nHave Fun – Make Memories – Go Screen-Free — Make New Friends–  Bowl 2 games free every day\, all summer long! \n\n\n\n\nThings to Note: \n\n\n\n\nEach bowling alley determines the times the program is active. Program begins April 30th! You can find the details here when you choose a location near you. Dates and Times will vary! (I’ve seen some start as early as April 30th and as late as June 1st and end between August 30-Sept 2) I’ve seen only 1 with hours available 7 days a week.\n\n\n\nCheck each location for age requirements. I’ve seen them range from 2-18 with some ending as early as 15.\n\n\n\nI found at least 8 participating centers within 60 minutes of Clintonville.\n\n\n\nThe Registration is not transferable between the different bowling centers.

DESCRIPTION:Every Day is Holiday Facebook Post \n\n\n\n🦜 EVERY DAY IS A HOLIDAY! 🦜September 17 is Pet Bird Day! \n\n\n\nCats had their day. \n\n\n\nThe reptiles got theirs. \n\n\n\nToday we’re celebrating the family members who are colorful\, clever\, occasionally cuddly… \n\n\n\nand perfectly capable of OUT-YELLING THE ENTIRE HOUSE. 😂 \n\n\n\nIt’s Pet Bird Day! 🐦❤️ \n\n\n\n🦜 BIRDS ARE PRETTY INCREDIBLE PETS. \n\n\n\nDepending on the species\, pet birds can learn sounds\, solve puzzles\, recognize routines and form incredibly strong bonds with their humans. \n\n\n\nAnd some parrots can even learn to imitate human speech. \n\n\n\nWhich sounds adorable… \n\n\n\nuntil your bird learns something you REALLY wish it hadn’t. 😳😂 \n\n\n\n🐦 DID YOU KNOW? \n\n\n\n🦜 Parrots use their feet almost like hands to grab and manipulate things — including their food. \n\n\n\n💤 Many birds need a consistent routine and plenty of uninterrupted sleep. \n\n\n\n🧩 Intelligent bird species need enrichment and things to DO. Toys\, foraging opportunities\, interaction and safe exploration help keep those busy bird brains occupied. \n\n\n\n❤️ And depending on the species\, bringing home a bird can be a VERY long commitment. \n\n\n\nSome parrots can live for decades. \n\n\n\nMeaning that adorable feathered friend isn’t necessarily a “the kids wanted a pet” decision. \n\n\n\nIt can be a significant part of your family for many\, many years. \n\n\n\n🐦 AND ABOUT THAT BIRD CAGE… \n\n\n\nA pet bird isn’t meant to simply sit in a small cage looking pretty. \n\n\n\nDifferent species have very different needs for space\, diet\, social interaction\, enrichment and veterinary care. \n\n\n\nSo\, just like we talked about on Iguana Awareness Day: \n\n\n\nResearch BEFORE bringing home the pet. ❤️ \n\n\n\nKnow how big they’ll get. \n\n\n\nKnow what they’ll eat. \n\n\n\nKnow how much attention they need. \n\n\n\nKnow how long they may live. \n\n\n\nAnd perhaps most importantly… \n\n\n\nKnow how LOUD they can be. 😂 \n\n\n\n📸 OKAY\, BIRD PEOPLE — THIS IS YOUR MOMENT! \n\n\n\nWe want to meet your feathered family members! \n\n\n\n👇 Drop a picture in the comments and tell us: \n\n\n\n🐦 Their name🦜 What kind of bird they are🎂 How old they are😂 The funniest/weirdest thing they do \n\n\n\nAnd if your bird talks… \n\n\n\nWhat’s the funniest thing they’ve learned to say? \n\n\n\nWe have a feeling there are STORIES behind some of these answers. 😂 \n\n\n\nNo pet bird? \n\n\n\nYou can still play! \n\n\n\n👇 IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY BIRD AS A PET — practicality completely ignored — what are you choosing? \n\n\n\n🦜 A colorful parrot?🐦 A tiny finch?💛 A cockatiel?💙 A parakeet?🦉 An owl? \n\n\n\nOr are you firmly: \n\n\n\n“I have enough things making noise in my house already.” 😂 \n\n\n\n🦜 Happy Pet Bird Day! \n\n\n\nToday we celebrate the pets who bring a little extra color\, personality and song into a home… \n\n\n\nwhether or not anyone actually ASKED them to start singing at 6 AM. 😂❤️
