Board our replica Concord stagecoach as you meet horses\, take photos with them and learn more about the picturesque world of the horse-powered past during your 30-minute ride.  \n\n\n\nOur handsome stagecoach can comfortably accommodate six passengers per tour\, though it may be possible to include more if needed—contact Wade House staff if your group has more than six individuals. Jung Carriage Museum.   𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 Wade House Stagecoach Inn was constructed conveniently between the cities of Fond du Lac and Sheboygan\, along a well-used stagecoach trail. This made the 27-room Greek Revival hotel a popular resting point for weary travelers. Three generations of the Wade family resided on the Wade House property\, with the stagecoach inn operating until around 1872. The Kohler family and the Kohler Foundation purchased Wade House in 1950 and began a top-to-bottom restoration. The site became property of the Wisconsin Historical Society and opened to the public in 1953. Here\, visitors can journey back to the horse-powered world that existed before planes\, cars\, and trains. The site features the stagecoach hotel built and owned by Sylvanus and Betsey Wade\, early settlers of Greenbush\, as well as a blacksmith shop\, sawmill\, and the Wesley W. Jung Carriage Museum\, which houses Wisconsin’s largest collection of carriages and wagons. Visitors can enjoy horse-drawn wagon rides from the visitor center to the historic core and back again. 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗕𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗚𝗼 \n\n\n\n\n Pre-registration is recommended\, though rides will be offered on the day of the event as space allows.\n\nCheck-in location is the Wade House Visitor Center and Wesley W. Trek through rolling countryside and hardwood forests alongside naturalist Jim Willaert as he showcases the splendor of the meadows\, streams and glades surrounding the famous Stagecoach Inn.   \n\n\n\nEach walk will occur at a different time throughout the year\, showcasing different parts of the grounds as Willaert explores one of several seasonal themes. DESCRIPTION:The Brown County Sheriff’s Department/Howard Police and Howard Fire Rescue invite the community to visit with us from 5 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 4\, 2026\, at the Howard Commons Activity Complex\, located at 550 Commons Place in Howard\, to share some fun at National Night Out. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to help keep our community a safe place to live. There will be many family-friendly activities and demonstrations throughout the night. Boy Scout Troop #1033 will be fundraising through food sales\, and there will also be ice cream and sweet treats for sale. The evening’s activities include: \n\n\n\n\n • Brown County Sheriff’s Department (BCSD) K9 Unit demonstration\n\n\n\n • BCSD SWAT Vehicle\n\n\n\n • Fire Safety House and inflatable Fire Prevention House\n\n\n\n • Fire Truck tours\n\n\n\n • Animal Control information\n\n\n\n • Dunk tank\n\n\n\n • Bounce House\n\n\n\n • Face Painting\n\n\n\n • Food Trucks\n\n\n\nFREE roller skating\n\n\n\nSWAT and EMS vehicles\n\n\n\nEagle III Medical Helicopter (weather and emergencies permitting)\n\n\n\n\n • Many other fun activities We hope to see you there! \n\n\n\nPlus\, help us fill The Giving Tree\, Howard-Suamico School District by bringing a non-perishable food item.
