Book Description:
“When we built our home on a small, wooded lake in Northern Wisconsin, we looked forward to a life surrounded by wild creatures. We never imagined that we would be sharing this place with a family of deer who would be staring in our windows when we woke up in the morning.
Deer Mother is an intimate family photo album that chronicles the life of one very friendly White-tailed Deer and her many fun-loving fawns, over the years. Daisy is a skilled and dedicated mother, and her fawns have brought us immense joy, and many fond memories, many of which are illustrated in this, my first self-published book of nature photography.
In his 50th year of chasing the light, photographer David Heritsch has worked in many genres, including sports, commercial, and wedding photography, but now concentrates mostly on his lifelong passion for wildlife photography. He lives with his wife, Pam, on a small lake in the northeast corner of Wisconsin. They share this space with over 50 species of birds, amphibians, and mammals that they have counted in the woods, on the lake, and in the sky that surrounds.”
