We put our maps side-by-side and noticed something…

Our dots need to get to know each other!

Our free Event Calendar is filling up with local fall fun happening around rural Northeast Wisconsin. Our Local Farm Stand Guide is growing too — helping families find fresh food, local farms, and farm experiences.

But when we compare the two maps, there are some pretty noticeable gaps.

Some areas have lots of events but very few farm stands. Other areas have farm stands — but not many events on our calendar.

We’d love to see more overlapping dots.

Imagine finding something fun to do with the family and discovering a local farm stand just down the road. That’s exactly the kind of local adventure we want RuralNEWfamilies to help families create.

You can help us connect the dots.

Share RuralNEWfamilies with event organizers in your community. Send the Farm Stand Guide to farms, producers, and farm experiences we’re missing. And if you know someone who belongs on one of these maps, tag them!

More overlapping dots. Fewer gaps. More reasons to explore local.
