🌕🥾 Full Moon Hike
August 29 @ 8:30 pm – 11:30 pm
See Mosquito Hill after dark! Hike the trails under a full moon (trails will be marked with reflectors for easy navigation). View the moon and night sky with NEWSTAR (Douglas Dome and telescope will be open to the public). There will be two Barlow Portable Planetarium shows in the Great Room with a different show each night.
Planetarium shows (8:30pm and 9:45pm):
May 30 – “Distant Worlds — Alien Life”
June 27 – “From Earth to the Universe”
July 25 – “The Dark Matter Mystery – Exploring a Cosmic Secret”
August 29 – “Did an Asteroid Really Kill the Dinosaurs?”
Family-friendly, suitable for all ages. This event will occur regardless of weather.
