Matt Welter has been studying fungus across Wisconsin for 30 years.
He will lead a 2 hour nature hike from the Navarino Nature Center and back.
May is an interesting month to look for mushrooms. Join Naturalist, Matt Welter as he shows what fungus are appearing in May. From dryad’s saddles to witches cauldrons, enjoy hands-on experiences like telling the differences between true and false morels. Cups, fairy helmets and possibly even deer snot, one never knows what fungal treasures we will find.
