Prairie Age Comparison Walk/Monthly Meeting
June 11 @ 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Join the Wild Ones Wolf River Chapter, Thursday the 11th from 5:30-8, as we do an early season “Prairie Walk” at one of our members’ locations. (Lucinda Lee) Followed by our monthly meeting.
– Prairie Location (N4068 County Rd T, Shawano, WI 54166)
– The prairie walk will focus on comparing 3 different plantings at different stages of their life cycle.
– A brand new Prairie drill seeded last fall, an establishing 3 year old Prairie, and a more developed planting that is over 5 years old now.
– We will also key in on identifying different Prairie plants pre-bloom.
– There are two ADA electric scooters available for riding through the Prairie for those who may need.
– Tennis shoes and bug spray are recommended.
– Booming now includes Ohio Spiderwort, Golden Alexander, Hairy Beardtongue .
