Where to Buy My Personal Favorite Products

I often get requests for where I have gotten certain items. I decided that it would be helpful to put my absolute favorite products in one spot.

We are very fortunate to have several awesome dog parks in our area, but, with the dogs parks comes 💩. As much as the organizers try to help encourage people to pick up the 💩, 💩 still happens. I started using this Doggie bag holder shortly after I had to start bringing my dogs with me to work. I like it because there is a little extra space for an extra roll of bags, or other small items. It also attaches easily to my purse, backpack or the dogs’ leashes. It also came with a handy bag holder for times the trash can isn’t immediately nearby. Or when walking 2 dogs. We use the bags at parades where candy is tossed too. Having the extra set of bags (in a different color) helps the kids keep their candy stashes separated too.

I really like this one. There is a little bit of humor. Your Body Book 1. It is available at our local libraries too. Remember that our libraries are on the OWLS system so we are able to request a book or other media from other libraries without adding mileage to our vehicles. (But all the libraries in our area are still pretty cool and worth the drive, just sayin’)

FlexFits is a product I started using several years ago. Without going into too much detail. Remember – I work in EMS and there are some complications that go with that. This product works well. Feel free to reach out with any questions though.

Knix and Thinx, I use them interchangeably. I cannot stress enough how much of a life-changer these have been and not only for period-related issues. These also work well for other mom-related issues. (These pair amazingly well with the FlexFits from above.) These have been a God-send for my daughter too. After a mishap during a long-distance field-trip, she’s a believer now too (and her friends have been asking for more info.)

For my coffee:

I buy my coffee at home from Mile 22 Roastery. It’s a great way to support local. You’ll want to follow along on their Facebook Page. They have some very excited changes happening!

I also really like cold brew coffee and I love my mason jars, so I picked up this Cold Brew kit. It was a little easier than cheesecloth or “coffee socks”.

When my doctor or my stomach reminds me that I need to cut back on my caffeine intake again, she suggested MUD/WTR. It’s got a slightly different taste so I use my favorite milk from Two Guernsey Girls. I made the switch to their milk about a little over a year ago. It’s not cheap, but it is very worth it! You will need to shake it. You will get the cream too. Yum! I also follow them on Facebook to see which farmers’ market they’ll be at and their weekly production schedule and other updates.

The appliance that gets the most use outside of my microwave and stovetop is my PowerXL 12-in-1. I’ve had mine long enough, that mine didn’t come with all the extras and it still gets used pretty close to daily.

My kids absolutely love water balloon fights. They absolutely do not like cleaning up all the itty bitty broken balloon bits. We also have a wide age range of cousins who could be injured if they got a hold of those bits, so we found these Reusable Water Balloons. Disclaimer: These do contain magnets so absolutely keep an eye on them. If they start showing wear, toss them. Better safe than sorry. One last recommendation for a local business. I bought a purse at Walmart. Absolutely loved the purse. Pockets galore and large enough for my iPad, chargers, portable internet and battery packs, plus the normal “mom-stuff”, without being super huge. Unfortunately, the straps were not strong enough for the work I put it through. Sue at B&H Footwear in Clintonville was able to fix and reinforce that strap.

Dry Erase Boards/Family Organization: I was introduced to Think Boards shortly before the pandemic happened. I was hooked almost immediately. They offered a 3-pack of samples that I still use on my fridge. This board has had sharpie, dry erase marker, wet erase markers and even the kids school markers. There is still no ghosting, except for a faint pen scratch where someone must have used a pen on it. Have you had a note deleted before you were done with it? Sharpie on a regular dry-erase board? These boards are designed to be easily cleaned, and as long as your use a marker and not a pen, it will always clean up, good as new, regardless of how long the ink has been on the board. During the pandemic they came up with 2 different sizes of clipboard with dry erase boards on them so kids could bring their “desk” anywhere. My kids still use them regularly. I stuck one on a folder so I had a place to keep notes when I’m not at home or for new appointments. (It is super handy that I can use dry-erase, wet-erase, and permanent markers on the board. It allows me to customize my board so things don’t get accidentally erased. When I’m ready for a “clean slate”, rubbing alcohol will bring it back to new with no ghosting. (Even with permanent marker that’s been on the board for years!) It’s worth taking a peek at their products.

A few years back, we needed to have eyes on the house when we weren’t there. I asked a friend of mine in law enforcement for recommendations.
