Do It For Dillon Anaphylaxis Training allows people to get trained to recognize the signs of an anaphylactic reaction. It also allows you to get your own epinephrine auto-injector to be able to help someone who needs it in the event they don’t have their own.

I met Angel and George Mueller during a epi-pen training session hosted by the Bear Creek Area First Responders. While attending the class, I realized that there a lot of places that are high-risk areas for people to have a severe anaphylactic reaction. I also realized that there are a lot of those places that are high-risk for an anaphylactic reaction AND they are not close enough to emergency services.
My family and my helpers have taken the class with me. I applied for and was granted one of the grants for epi-pens for my business. The class is 100% Free and only 1-hour of time.
We are encouraging everyone to attend this class. We know that weeknights are a very busy time for families so we worked with a local food truck to hang out in our parking lot to help make dinnertime easier and free up that hour to take the class. This class is age-appropriate for children as young as 10 and up.
We came up with a quick quiz to help you decide to take this class:
- True/False: Something needs to change in your day-to-day for it to be an allergic/anaphylactic reaction?
- True/False: A person needs to have had a less-severe reaction prior for it to be an anaphylactic reaction?
- True/False: If it feels like food poisoning, but it’s been under 12 hours since you ate, it could be anaphylaxis.
- What are some things a child might say or do if they’re having an allergic reaction?
- How much time does a person have before they lose unconsciousness in the event of an anaphylactic reaction?
- True/False: CPR will keep the person alive until someone with epinephrine get there.
- True/False: Anaphylactic reactions are hereditary.
- Name 5 of the most common causes of anaphylactic reactions.
- What are 4 of the 9 top food allergies?
- True/False: A severe anaphylactic reaction can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time, without notice/prior warning.
