We have been TRAINING for this holiday. 😂🧀

Today is National Cheeseburger Day, and honestly, combining beef with cheese might be one of humanity’s better decisions.

But WHO made that decision first?

🍔 A LITTLE CHEESEBURGER HISTORY…

Like many great food inventions, several people have claimed credit.

One of the earliest stories dates to the 1920s, when a young cook named Lionel Sternberger is said to have experimented with putting a slice of American cheese on a hamburger at his father’s California restaurant.

Other restaurants later claimed their own versions of the invention — and the exact origin is still debated.

Which means people have apparently been arguing about cheeseburgers for approximately a century.

Excellent. Let’s continue the tradition. 😂

🧀 FIRST QUESTION: WHAT CHEESE BELONGS ON A BURGER?

Here in Wisconsin, choosing no cheese feels suspicious, but we’ll try not to judge. 😂
