Today’s holiday might be one of the easiest we’ve celebrated yet.

No ingredients.
No supplies.
No special plans.

You just need…

A few kind words. ❤️

Today is the National Day of Encouragement, and we’re giving everyone a little homework.

💛 TELL SOMEONE SOMETHING GOOD.

Not just “Have a nice day.”

Something REAL.

Tell your kid you’re proud of how hard they’re trying.

Tell a friend you appreciate that they’re always there when you need them.

Tell a coworker they’re really good at something they probably don’t realize anyone notices.

Tell a teacher, coach or volunteer that what they’re doing matters.

Tell a local business owner you appreciate having them in your community.

Tell someone who’s struggling:

“I believe in you.”

And maybe there’s someone you haven’t talked to in a while who could use a completely unexpected:

“Hey. I was thinking about you. You’re doing a great job.”

Send it.

❤️ HERE’S TODAY’S CHALLENGE:

Encourage THREE people.

👧 Someone younger than you.
👵 Someone older than you.
❤️ Someone around your own age.

Text them.

Call them.

Leave a note.

Tell them face-to-face.

Or, if someone in our community deserves a little recognition, give them a shout-out in the comments!

Tag them and tell us something wonderful about them. ❤️

And parents…

Here’s an especially good one for tonight:

Ask your kids:

“What’s something you’re proud of yourself for?”

Then LISTEN.

It might be a great grade.

It might be helping someone.

It might be finally learning to tie their shoes.

It might be making it across the monkey bars.

Things that seem small to us can feel HUGE to them.

Whatever you’re working toward doesn’t have to happen all at once.
