💡Topic: A short discussion about how they worked to establish their producer-led group, and a bit about the process.
New Potential Outagamie County Producer Led Group (~5 min)
🎤 Speaker: Alex Krepline, Outagamie County
💡Topic: An opportunity for farmers to hear a short overview of a potential Outagamie County producer-led group, and ways to join, if interested.
Management Comparisons: Soil Health vs Conventional (~15 min)
🎤 Speaker: Greg Olson, Sand County Foundation
💡Topic: Greg will share about monitoring he’s doing to compare management strategies and their impacts on soil moisture, temperature, and other factors at two demonstration farms around the area.
Using Data and Conservation to Improve Farm Profits (~15 min)
🎤 Speaker: Johnny Behrendt, Pheasants Forever
💡Topic: Johnny will discuss Pheasants Forever’s precision conservation planning approach, detailing how data and farm-specific budget information is used to place conservation practices to improve habitat, water quality, soil health, and, most importantly, farm profits.
Prairie Strips and Precision Ag (~15 min)
🎤 Speakers: Jim Luedtke, Muddy Bottom Farmers & UFW Demonstration Farms – Greg Olson, Sand County Foundation – Johnny Behrendt, Pheasants Forever
💡Topic: Jim, Greg and Johnny will talk about the benefits of prairie strips and how they used precision data to place them at Jim’s farm. The project will not only provide financial gain by changing management in an underproducing area of the field, but will also reduce erosion and nutrient loss through the installation of deep-rooted perennial vegetation.
Winter Camelina as a Cover Crop or Commodity (~20 min)

💡Topic: Will will talk about Camelina options and considerations for WI.
Making Twin Row Corn Work in WI (~30-45 min)
🎤 Speakers: Dan Boerst, Dairy-licious Farm & Demonstration Farmer – Derrick Raspor – GLRI Field Coordinator – Matt Brugger, Demo Farm Project Manager
💡Topic: See how Dan’s incorporating cover crops into his twin row system, look at the planter set-ups that allowed for this, and hear a discussion on considerations and crop rotations with this twin row system.
