Winter’s Farmers Market

April 5, 2024 @ 9:30 am 2:00 pm

THIS FRIDAY! It’s no joke! This week is the penultimate Winter Farmers’ Market for our season! Join us for this second-to-last event at the College of Menominee Nation’s Cultural Learning Center from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm. We’ll have Artisan Crafts, Baked Goods, Free Cornmeal, and more from our vendors this Friday, April 5th!

From 10-1, SDI’s Field Coordinator Dulce Moeller will be sharing samples of food that blend Oaxaca and Menominee flavors together, including: Wild Rice Drink, Spanish Wild Rice, and Mex-USA Buffalo Jerky and Bean Tamales! Samples are limited as supplies last and they are all dairy free!

Also, we’ll be joined by CMN’s Department of Continuing Education Garden Manager, Violet Bia! Violet will be sharing tips throughout the day about her Square Foot and Container Gardening methods as well as a sample of Navajo Coffee Creamer made from SDI’s Bear Island Flint Corn.

We hope that you can venture out to your local Winter Farmers’ Market this Friday. For more information, please refer to the poster below.
